CPW was founded in 2009 to apply proven solutions to India's ongoing water crisis. In that time we have worked with over 230 villages and 200 schools to build sustainable water purification centers, reaching over 600,000 people with reliable access to safe, clean water.
Community Pure Water currently operates water purification centers in nineteen districts across four states in India, distributing over three million liters of water per month.

Bokka's extensive experience in manufacturing operations as well as process and cost optimization has been pivotal to establishing the end-to-end business operations of Community Pure Water and the Community Development Foundation and ensuring the highest service levels in providing safe drinking water to rural residents.
Sumeet Rawla has a wide range of experience with Global 2000 multi-nationals, technology startups and not-for-profit ventures. Sumeet has also served on the board of SKS Foundation and on various committees at the Women’s Fund of New Jersey. Since 2016, she has worked with Community Pure Water developing relationships with donors and partner organizations to maximize CPW's resources, reach, and impact.
Vijay Chitnis is an experienced consultant with over 10 years experience in fundraising. He represented Brown at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. As Director of International Initiatives in Brown’s Education Department, he created two international partnerships focusing on education management and the art of teaching with Indian high schools.
Lakshmi served as manager of the operations and credit department of ING Vysya Bank and also as a consultant for a large food and confectionary chain in India where she guided the company officials in the successful sale of the company. She joined the Community Development Foundation and Community Pure Water to help deliver safe drinking water to residents of rural areas.
J.P. Rao is a passionate, multi-disciplinary senior professional with over two decades of experience working at the grassroots level in social development across India. As General Manager, JP leads a team of professionals to support the installation and operations of our water purification centers.
Ramesh Mangalaparthi is responsible for the operations of CPW water purification centers. He has over 20 years of experience in Social Development, Public Health, and WASH. He understands the needs of the communities we serve and ensures that water purifications centers remain operational 24/7, so that residents of rural communities always have access to safe drinking water at affordable prices.
