Community Pure Water works with rural communities to make safe drinking water affordable, accessible and available 24/7.

How we started
In 2009, Mr. Ravi Reddy founded a simple and holistic initiative called Community Pure Water in Telangana to supply safe drinking water for rural communities.
Hailing from a family of farmers, Ravi Reddy along with his brother and Co-Founder Bokka Reddy, spent most of their summers in his native village in Nalgonda District, Telangana. Since the well water in their home was unsuitable for drinking or cooking, their morning chore was to walk to the other side of the village to procure water for family consumption. This water was also barely safe for drinking, but there was no other choice.
For years, the brothers watched their father, a civil engineer, offer his services to those in need in his community. He set up a charitable trust to fund the construction of a community center in the village, install a septic tank in every household and a robust storm drain system for the entire village. Their father’s 50-year-old legacy of community service was the true inspiration behind the inception of Community Pure Water.
Mr. Ravi Reddy says, “Having observed a plethora of safe water initiatives underperform and fail, my brother - with his military mindset of precision, process and discipline, and I - with my entrepreneurial spirit, set up CPW to find a permanent solution. Our overarching desire and singular focus is that every family in every village should have access to safe water.”
Today, Community Pure Water has one of the most cost-effective, high quality and long-term sustainable programs for safe water.
