B. Water Purification Center-WPC
Village did not have water purification center (facility) prior to installation of CPW water
purification center. GP/Village provided a room to house water purification plant, raw
water (Borewell or Pond) and access to electricity. CPW installed the plant and provided
training to operator. CPW monitor the plant operations and provides maintenance
services to plant for 10 years from the date of installation/commissioning under Install,
Operate and Maintenance Agreement (IOMA).
C. Consumption Of Purified Water in village
Summer Months (March to June): 1290 Liters/day
Monsoon Months (July to October): 1021 Liters/day
Winter Months (November to February): 878 Liters/day
12 Months Average: 1062 Liters/day
D. Anecdote
Ms. Renamma, Sarpanch Ms. Renamma, Sarpanch is a young, and service-oriented person. She
noticed that village has drinking water issue and villagers are struggling
to get drinking water, spending more amount and spending much time
and losing their productivity. She had a plan to address the issue and
to provide the purified water to villagers. She heard about CPW in their
known circles and approached us.
Ms. Renamma expressed that villagers are very much happy with Water Purification
Center which is providing purified water 24/7 and villagers are saving their time and able
to concentrate on other works and improving the health conditions.
Ms. Adambi, Resident Before installation of Water Purification Center in our village, I waited
till the vehicle came to deliver the water for hours and wasted time
and lost the livelihood work and also higher cost. After Installation of
Water Purification Center, I am getting purified water at nominal cost
24/7 and I am taking water whenever I want which is saving time and
amount also
