New Water Purification Center: Tangallapally Village

20 September, 2022, Community Pure Water inaugurated a new water purification center in Tangallapally village with the support of Mrs. Hemalatha & Mr. Venki Pushadapu.

Tangallapally is a village in the Ranga Reddy district of Telangana with 560 households and a population of around 2600 people. Ranga Reddy is a rural district southwest of the city of Hyderabad. Like many rural districts in Telangana, the groundwater in Ranga Reddy is can be dangerously high in fluoride. Surface water pollution is also a problem. A recent study of pharmaceutical pollution in 258 rivers around the world found Musi river in the northern part of the district to be the 22nd most polluted. Overall, Ranga Reddy ranks fifth worst in water quality for districts in Telangana.

Sri Balaraju-Sarpanch, Gram Panchayath and Sri Purushotham Rao-General Manager, CDF along with Deputy Sarpanch, MPTC member, GP Members and villagers gathered to help celebrate the center’s opening.
